I am Angelique.
I am an Illuminator, Writer, Soul Guide, Mentor and Coach. I love to write, communicate and connect to bring Light into those Spaces within Us which Want to Shine.
I write about an assortment of topics that address the life traveler asking the deep questions about life, and especially self-actualization. If you relate to any of THESE IDENTITIES, then I am someone who has either experienced or worked with others who have also experienced THESE IDENTITIES. So I share my own insights.
As a Woman of Color who has transitioned out of a long and successful corporate legal career, I have always had a deeply felt “other” life as a creative and an avid learner about personal development and spirituality. Launched by both fortunate and earned circumstances, including an Ivy League law and business graduate education, I’ve navigated legal positions supporting business development in large companies and have run a career coaching business, the time is now to come out of my own “creative closet” and share this blog.
Who am I really? I am more than my resume. As you are.
I know what it’s like to straddle two worlds as a corporate executive and a creative — living two lives and feeling in constant conflict, with a host of nuanced feelings and fears. In fact, my creative life was very private so I also know what it’s like to feel suppressed or afraid to launch publicly into a creative platform.I know that struggle, can and can speak to it, with realizations and breakthroughs to share.
As a coach, I’ve also seen the progressive results of these enlightened conversations. I love how people discover how awesome they are through a series of exchanges designed to reveal themselves to themselves!
There are many of you out there who chose a path that suggests a creative or value-based life is not available to you. Or that it’s too hard to take action toward your dreams. It is through exploration, curiosity and conversational collaboration and community that we walk an inspired path toward full self-expression.
This platform was created because my own Inner Spirit told me there is an audience out there for which these messages will resonate. The mere journey I am taking is one I ask you to walk with me on as well. This site will introduce books and services as it evolves — I am at work on several. It will also introduce you to (or remind you of) the many individuals who offer enlightened wisdom and experience on these topics. Right now, it’s a communications space that is designed to speak to your heart and soul, and inspire you to turn up the volume of self expression and fulfillment in your life.
Consider too that I am taking my own first step to evolve my own creative life and launch this blog — to go public and inspire those of you to launch yourself forward into something you can “home’ to your Soul. I am not holding myself as an expert to fix your issues, but instead, I stand as a partner with whom to have meaningful exchange of ideas with inspiring, yet pragmatic, calls to meaningful action.
